Summer in Norfolk, an Introduction
|

Norfolk is a great place to enjoy the long and sometimes hot days of the great British summer. The gentle undulating ground is very fertile and therefore rich in plant and wildlife. You will see many wild flowers, ancient woodland and some rare species of butterfly and birds. The wide open skies and miles and miles of sandy beach make a great day out and you can still find secluded places, even in July and August! |

Inland - Norfolk has miles and miles of beautiful rural countryside. One good place is the ridge of heathland behind the coast between Salthouse and Sheringham. The Norfolk Broads is the best wetland landscape in the UK, with picturesque quiet woodland and miles of slow meandering rivers and lakes. Finally, Norfolk has plenty of country parks and long distance footpaths, offering plenty of opportunity to get out and enjoy the summer. |
