Some have been created from old gravel pits, others have existing for centuries among ancient woodland. They all offer waymarked footpaths, picnic areas and usually a visitors centre to explore. |

 At Holt Country Park you will find a wood extending to almost 100 acres and containing Scots Pine, Oak and Silver Birch. Throughout the Country Park there are interesting features such as a totem pole, carved stile, play area and viewing tower. |
