A lovely riverside tea room in the pretty village of Reedham Quay. Good menu, with plenty of choice and all home made dishes. Reedham itself is a lovely village located on the southern Broads and is one of the top boating centres on the River Yare and was once the hub of the local boatbuilding industry, with several wherries being built here. |

Byfords Café in Holt |
|
Byfords is a famous café, deli and posh B&B in the centre of Holt. If you enjoy people watching, its a great place to have a coffee and just sit and watch people wander by! The building is thought to be one of the oldest buildings in the town and pre-dates the great fire in Holt of 1708. The premises traded as a hardware store and ironmonger’s for over 100 years under the ownership of the Byford family, from which the building took its name. The building was restored during the later part of the 20th century, when much of its character and features were re-instated. |

This traditional English tea room is tucked away in a yard, off the main high street. Sheringham itself is a popular seaside resort with a sandy beach (at low tide) and many interesting shops to explore. The North Norfolk Railway runs from Sheringham to nearby Holt, through some of the most picturesque countryside in Britain. |

Pretty Corner is signposted off the main A149 at Upper Sheringham. This is one of our favourites and set in the grounds of a house overlooking a landscaped garden, situated at the top of Upper Sheringham. |

Horning is a lovely riverside village in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Little has changed here since Arthur Ransome wrote about the village in his 1930's childrens adventures "Coot Club" and the "Big Six". You can just imaging the characters of the books walking into the Staithe and Willow tea rooms, located right on the staithe. The thatched building is full of 1930's charm and is a great place for a refreshing cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake. |

Norwich Guildhall replaced the long-standing toll-house; a small thatched building used for collecting the toll from the market, and dating from the 13th century. The Guildhall was used for both civic and judicial functions for some five hundred years. The very distinctive design of fine chequered flint work on the outside shows the city was amongst the largest and wealthiest cities in England. Today, it has a lovely cafe situated inside. |
