An Introduction to Upper Sheringham
|
Upper Sheringham has fine views over the coast and consists of miles of bracken-covered undulating uplands, covered with woodland trees, golden gorse and purple heather. Sheringham Park is maintained by the National Trust and has miles of paths to follow, mixed with follies and obeservation towers to climb. It makes a fabulous day out on warm sunny day. |

Upper Sheringham Guided Tour

Sheringham Park is one of the finest examples of Humphry Repton's garden designs (now owned by the National Trust). There are miles of fabulous scenic countryside paths, with gazebos and viewing towers offering fantastic coastal vistas. There is a fabulous display of rhododendrons and azaleas in late spring, but all year round you can see mature woodlands, with rare trees and shrubs. There is a visitors centre and shop (open seasonal). Dogs are allowed on a lead. |

Also at Upper Sheringham is the tea rooms at Pretty Corner. They are set in the grounds of a house overlooking a landscaped garden, situated at the top of Upper Sheringham. |

The views from Sheringham Park are amazing. Visit in May to see the rhododendrons in full flower, but the park can be enjoyed at any time of the year.
