An Introduction to Wroxham Barns
|

Situated just to the north of Hoveton, Wroxham Barns is a leading tourist attraction in the area. Here you will find a working art and crafts centre, where craftsmen demonstrate their skills in individual studios and you can chat to them as they work. Studios include stained glass, pottery, wood crafts, colourful children's clothes and real Norfolk cider! You can purchase a range of unique products exclusive to Wroxham Barns and many of the crafts people undertake private commissions. Wroxham Barns also contains a Junior Farm, a Children's Funfair as well as a 18-hole championship mini-golf course and a lovely restaurant and cafe. There really is something for everyone and with free entry (except Junior Farm), it makes a great family day out. Open daily all year. Dogs allowed on site (but not in the restaurant and Junior Farm). |

Wroxham Barns Guided Picture Tour
|
We start our tour of Wroxham Barns in the Craft Barns. These individual barns have undergone significant rennovation over the years and now house about a dozen crafts including pottery, stained glass, art, sewing, woodturing & engraving, sketching, sculptor and cider production. You can wander into each barn and see the craftspeople at work and buy some of their creations. Most are willing to accept private comissions should you need something special making. |

The main shop is called The Gallery and stocks a wide range of gifts, much of which have been made in Norfolk. Among the many products stocked in the two-storey Gallery, you will find toys, games, clothes, jewellery, fudge, cards, books, ceramics and homeware. The stock continually changes, so its worth popping back to see what is currently on offer. |

Wroxham Barns boasts a championship mini adventure 18 hole golf course. Each hole is completely different and the all-weather course contains gentle slopes, water, bridges, tunnels and other hazards. The entire course is landscaped with pathways and water features. The course has been built to British Minigolf Association standards and hosts various championships. Visitors can simply pay around £4 for a round of golf. |

Wroxham Barns Junior Farm is an excellent place to meet farm animals close up. There is even the opportunity to handle some of the animals and they hold regular feeding demonstrations during the day, when you can help feed some of the animals. You can even buy animal food and feed the animals as you meet them - make sure to wash your hands afterwards! The Junior Farm also includes a good indoor play area for young children and is welcome on colder or wet days. |
